Greebs, What are your feelings on the Biden selection? I respect Joe Biden for all his service, and appreciate his foreign policy experience, but the choice feels uninspired. I feel it sends the wrong message about other decisions Obama will make going forward. Your thoughts?
I've meant to write about this, but the kid takes up some time. I like the pick but like you, I'm not crazy about it. But he could have done a LOT worse (see Clinton, Hillary, or a slew of others) and the folks I would have been more psyched about - Bill Richardson, Russ Feingold, etc. - would really be a lot to ask. It's a big hurdle to have the first bi-racial candidate in our countries history; it's another to have a VP who is Hispanic, or Jewish, etc. Having an older white guy who sees eye to eye with Obama is probably the best case scenario.
