Once again, the great liberal tradition of tolerance and free speech, ladies and gentlemen.
ReplyDeleteCurtis,
ReplyDeleteYou love to obfuscate, don't ya?
I'm not saying she CAN'T talk, I just don't know why it's news or why she's on TV more than, say, the actually elected Vice President. She's the governor of a tiny state and now shouldn't be of any more concern than any other Governor who I can't even name BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT ON MY TELEVISION ALL THE DAMN TIME.
But she's so Smert
ReplyDeleteI'm not obfuscating. You told her to shut up. She has as much right to free speech as anyone.
ReplyDeleteYour complaint seems to be with the liberal mainstream media; go tell them to shut up.
And I'd be careful what you wish for vis a vis media coverage of things Joe Biden says.
In this we actually agree - the silly media can't stop fawning over Palin. Now, the fact that she's eager to grant at least as many interviews in the last 10 days as she did during the campaign, well...that falls on her. But the media should leave her alone; she's not a story, regardless of what they want.
ReplyDeleteIf Joe Biden said half as many silly things as his reputation suggests, I'd worry. But...I don't. And since no news media seems to remember he's the VP-elect, not much to worry about regardless.

ReplyDeleteThe happy goodbye wave we give to Monkey Boy is unfortunately intertwined with the interminable presence of Sarah, the She Wolf of Wasilla. Makes me think of the old Bufferin Commercial from the '50's: "Why trade a headache for an upset stomach?"
ReplyDeleteIt's like some sort of a grim and nasty "There's good news and there's bad news" joke.
The only possible reason for continued sufferance of her presence that I can see is that the aged Repugnicans like Pat Buchanan and John McCain talk about her as if she's living Viagra.
It helps to realize it's flop sweat desperation trying trying trying to refuse to recognize that Monkey Boy not only plundered our economy and poured it all into the pokcets of his masters, but also totally destroyed the Republican Party (and, as my father used to say "It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys.")
Who knows? Maybe the old Republican Party -- the one with actual principles other than holding slander contests to see who can best denounce anyone who disagrees with them (the opposition) as Traitors -- maybe that one will re-emerge.
It's not just oversight that kept them all from mentioning Barry Goldwater, who, aside from DESPISING John McCain (because Goldwater knew that 'straight talk' was no more than a facade to cover a haunted, vicious, malignant man) held that the feds had no interest in abortion unless it interfered with interstate commerce and that "you don't have to be straight to shoot straight."
You know -- the old Republican party that said "Your private life is none of our business." -- Wm F Buckley, et al.
Well, I can fantasize, can't I?
