Truly funny book taking place in New Orleans. They've talked about making this into a movie so many times...it's probably a good thing that hasn't happened.
The movie stock-market game HSX,com (which runs a tiny part of my life) had a stock on Dunces, but delisted it this week because it's never getting made. I know Will Ferrell was interested at one point, but I guess it's more fun making dreck like Stepbrothers and telling NYCers what an ass GWB is.
Yes, I think this book and Enders Game have some sort of record for "Most Failed Attempts To Make A Movie Out of it."
Or something a bit more clever.
FWIW, Ferrell told the entire world what an ass GWB is, through the wide distribution of HBO. That being said, the whole world (with some - cough - exceptions) already knows what a monumentall douchenozzle GWB is.
Yes, he's out of office. But not out of my scope. In fact, this merits a brief but important post on its own.
